Wow! I've been playing lots of games from different rules systems lately.   It's been difficult trying to remember how each one is played.  There comes a time when it all seems like a blur! At last Tuesday's club night, we had a game of Ganesha's Flying Lead . It is the same rules for Song of Blades and Heroes but modified for a modern genre with firearms and explosives as the main weapons. My squad leader realizes the point man is down and so is the Medic! The flamethrower getting ready to fire up some Soviets I enjoyed this game!  The only drawback was the activation mechanics don't necessarily fit with the kind of figures I was playing. I was given two squads of 'near-future' professional soldiers (figures from the AT-43 game), which I would imagine, should have no trouble moving across an open battlefield and staying in formation. Day 2 of MillenniumCon 2012 - Saturday Monring Suvarov vs. Napoleon 1799 On Saturday morning, I was originally signed up to play the 54mm 'All the King's Men' game but instead I squeezed myself into a gigantic 25mm Napoleonics game on a 6' x 18' table.  The game used the Carnage and Glory II ruleset.  The game was managed by the GM with a laptop at one end of the table. Each miniature unit was given a designation number and a label.  When each players moved, charged or shot at another unit, they player would report the unit number and target number to the GM. The GM entered the info and reported the results to the group. It’s time for me to catch up on my gaming reports. There have been many games played these past weeks. I just haven’t gotten the AAR typed up on the blog. There have been several LHSM game nights since my last post and there is something of interest to report for each session. Earlier this month, Dennis brought some beautifully painted minis with accompanying rules from two different historical genres for the group to enjoy.  One was the freebie download game called ‘Chosen Men’, a Napoleonic skirmish game loosely inspired by the ‘ Sharpe’s Rifles ’ movies and the other was ‘ Desperado ’, a quick-play Old West game. When I arrived, the group was setting up a game of Desperado .  I was told to grab two minis out of Dennis’ storage and whatever weapon was depicted in the figure’s hand would be the weapon used by the character in the game. I picked a lanky cowboy with a shotgun (I called him ‘Slim’) and a stout hombre with a sombrero and a pistola (called him ‘Flaco’)...
